I learned about pour over coffee from you, and use the Hario for home use now.
I found this Soto “system” which I am now using for camping:

With a little finagling, it fits in the Toaks 900 ml bag with the rest of my cooking system

All good stuff Ryan. Thanks for the feedback. Will need to check on the Gerber knife — COVID is wrecking havoc on gear availability. Best, -alan

The Hyke&Byke is usually cheaper if you buy direct from the vendor website, especially if you can find some good coupons. I think I paid $120 for mine a few years ago. My only issue with the trek poles is that the “nuts” that hold the quick-lock levers in place crack over time and need replacing (which you can order for about $6 from the Cascade Mountain website).

The Gerber knife link you gave indicates “currently unavailable”, though it looks like there’s another LST listing on Amazon that has some available for about $31. I purchased a very similar model a few years ago–the Gerber US1–and it’s even lighter at 1.0oz. It’s also got a 2.6″ blade (same as the LST even though your article states 2″). That one is at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01460LW24 and is currently listed at $20.
